INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 2026

80th Independence Day Celebrated at College

The College celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit and national pride. The celebrations commenced with ‘Azadi Di Poorbli Sham’ (The Eve of Independence Day) on 14 August 2026 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Jasmeet Sethi.

The programme featured the hoisting of the National Flag, a soulful rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ commemorating its 150th year, patriotic poetry and speeches highlighting India’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices of the martyrs. Ladoos were distributed among the students, and the programme concluded with the National Anthem.

On 15 August 2026, Principal Dr. Jasmeet Sethi, along with the staff members, participated enthusiastically in the district-level Independence Day celebration at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar. The event included flag hoisting, a National Flag salute, cultural performances and a grand parade and march-past.

The celebrations fostered a strong sense of patriotism, national unity, responsibility and respect for the freedom fighters among the students and staff.
