Research and Innovation

At College, research and innovation are integral components of the academic environment. The institution is dedicated to promoting inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and scholarly excellence among students and faculty members.

The College provides systematic dissertation guidance to M.Ed. students every academic year under the mentorship of experienced faculty members. Students receive continuous support throughout their research journey, including problem identification, tool construction, data collection, statistical analysis, and report writing.

To strengthen research competencies and promote academic excellence, the College regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and capacity-building programmes on research methodology and data analysis, including the following programme:

Seminar on Research Methodology and SPSS

The College organized a seminar on “Basics of Research Methodology and Statistical Analysis using SPSS” on 21 February 2025 under the guidance of Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Associate Professor. The seminar aimed to enhance research and data analysis skills among students and faculty members.

Dr. Suresh Khurana, Head, PG Department of Economics, DAV College, Jalandhar, served as the resource person and discussed the fundamentals of research methodology, hypothesis formulation, sampling techniques, and statistical analysis. A hands-on session on SPSS was also conducted covering descriptive and inferential statistics, correlation, regression, Chi-square, and ANOVA.

The seminar provided practical exposure to research tools and promoted analytical and research-oriented learning among participants.
